Garlic Unveiled: a Connoisseur’s Workshop

Love garlic? (Of course you do!) Join us for a hands-on class where you’ll learn how to turn a humble clove into a big, beautiful bulb. We’ll cover everything from planting and soil preparation to harvesting and curing. So you’ll never have to settle for store garlic bought again!!
Start to learn the basics of garlic – hard neck vs. soft neck; the differences between purple stripe, rocambole, porcelain, turban, etc.  This class will give you the basics of garlic, just enough to wet your appetite and get you growing and eating your very own home-sown garlic!  You’ll get some gems on what to do with garlic scapes and an intro to garlic tonic so that you may reap the benefits of allicin!

Come dig in, get your hands dirty, and leave ready to grow the most flavorful garlic your kitchen has ever seen! Each participant will receive garlic cloves to take home and plant!

Want a garden that bursts into color next spring? The secret starts underground! Join us September 27th or 28th  at 11am. For a lighthearted, hands-on workshop where you’ll learn the simple art of planting bulbs that reward you with tulips, daffodils, and other dazzling blooms year after year!
